Information for our Seniors
As a service to our seniors, we have a few programs available:

Residential Key Boxes:

A residential key box that allows the Fire District to secure a key to the exterior door in a steel safe at your home. This safe is constructed of heavy steel to protect your keys and the keys to this safe are secured in a smaller safe on our fire truck. This allows the firefighters rapid access to your home in the event of a medical emergency without damaging doors or windows. These key boxes are real important to those seniors that utilize a "life line" emergency call system when living alone etc.

Special Needs Registration:

The Fire District has the ability to enter specific information regarding your residence in the computer aided dispatch (CAD) system that will alert responding personnel as to a specific hazard or need in a time of emergency.

This program is designed for our residents that cannot "self evacuate" in an emergency. Typically we register residents who need additional help getting out of their home due to limited mobility or permanent disability.

The registration remains in effect for two years, you will need to re-register every two years to update your information. We will attempt to contact everyone via email annually to remind you to update your information.

The registration is a two step process, fill out the Premise Alert Notification Agreement and the Special Needs Registration Form  return completed forms via mail, fax (847-253-4759) or email to phfd@prospectheightsfire.com.
