The minutes from last month’s meeting will be deferred until the next regular scheduled meeting. Otherwise, no further report of the Secretary.

BUSINESS
Review bids and approve the purchase of new radio equipment.
The purpose of the meeting was to review bids for the expenditure of a federal grant to purchase radio equipment. The federal government will fund a purchase up to $155,000.00 of which 5% must be paid by the Prospect Heights Fire Protection District. Therefore, the net amount of the grant is $147,250.00. The Prospect Heights Fire Protection District will be responsible for paying the difference between the grant and the bid amount. The Prospect Heights Fire Protection District received bids from Chicago Communications, Comm Direct and Alpha Prime. Deputy Chief Tim Jones negotiated the bids and recommends purchasing the equipment from Comm Direct.

lengthy discussion regarding the federal grant requirements and the individual
costs, Trustee

Trustee Anthony Carlin made a motion to adjourn. The motion was seconded by Trustee Robert Arends.
